How the Chamber is organized.
MCCI operates as a non-profit, service-oriented organization run by its members. Two membership categories, a rotating Board of Directors, elected office bearers, and a professional Secretariat keep the Chamber accountable to the businesses it represents.
Membership categories
There are two categories of membership — General and Associate — covering trading businesses, companies, partnerships, and professional practices operating within the Madaripur district.
Board of Directors
The Chamber is run by a Board of Directors representing all classes of membership. One third of the directors retire every year, ensuring continuous renewal of leadership while preserving institutional memory.
Office bearers
A President, a Senior Vice-President, and a Vice-President are elected by the Board for a term of one year. The President serves as the Chief Executive of the Chamber.
Standing Committees & Secretariat
The Board is assisted by a number of Standing Committees working on important business-related subjects — advocacy, taxation, trade promotion, finance, and sustainability — and by a full-fledged Secretariat that handles day-to-day operations.
